What We Do

Sustainability
A cornerstone of Singapore’s pursuit of energy sustainability is regional power grid integration. To strengthen energy resilience and achieve climate objectives, Singapore is actively advancing cross-border electricity trade through the ASEAN Power Grid initiative.

This approach enables the nation to access cleaner and more cost-effective renewable energy sources from the region. By 2035, Singapore aims to import around 6 gigawatts of low-carbon electricity, which could account for approximately 30% of its total power supply at that time.
Why Interconnections are Essential for ASEAN
The ASEAN Power Grid is pivotal in advancing the region's collective objectives of energy security, sustainability, and affordability.
